The MSI Cyborg 15 is back on sale at a superb price. The gaming laptop is powered by an RTX 5060, features an RGB-backlit keyboard, and a modern 8-core CPU. There is also 16 GB of upgradable DDR5 RAM under the hood.

In early August, the MSI Cyborg 15 gaming laptop with the RTX 5060 was on sale for $999. We argued back then that $999 was a pretty good price for the hardware you were getting. We are now happy to report that the MSI Cyborg 15 (2026) has gotten even cheaper, making the gaming laptop quite easy to recommend.

You can currently buy the latest MSI Cyborg 15 for just $949 at Walmart. The laptop also comes with free digital copies of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a remake of the original Tomb Raider, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer. Both of these titles cost a combined $120 on Steam.

Looking at the specs, the MSI Cyborg 15 (2026) features the 60 W RTX 5060 laptop GPU, an 8-core Intel Core 5 210H CPU, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, 512 GB of storage, and a 15-inch 144 Hz IPS display.

Other important details include a 4-zone RGB keyboard, a 52.5 Wh battery, and a healthy port selection consisting of:

  • One Type-C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery
  • Two Type-A ports
  • One HDMI out
  • An Ethernet jack
  • One 3.5 mm audio jack

At first glance, the hardware is nothing to write home about. The 15-inch IPS panel, for instance, only covers 45% of the NTSC gamut (around 60 to 65% sRGB). The RTX 5060 is also only 60 W instead of the full 110 W, which will definitely take a toll on performance. However, as a whole, the MSI Cyborg 15 is a really solid 1080p gaming machine, especially when we consider the price.

Be sure to check out our review of the RTX 5050-based SKU, where we test each and every aspect of the MSI Cyborg 15. Our major issues with the MSI Cyborg 15 were the 15-inch display, lack of a Thunderbolt 4 port, and limited GPU TDP. Fortunately, gaming monitors are super affordable nowadays, so you don’t need to rely solely on the built-in monitor.

Sadly, there is no easy fix for the limited GPU TDP. But for 1080p gaming, a 60 W RTX 5060 should be more than enough, especially when combined with DLSS.
