MSI released a new gaming laptop with an RTX 5070 Ti and Intel Core Ultra 9 chip

MSI has expanded its Titan 18 family in China with the Titan 18 HX 2026, a new entry positioned below the existing Titan 18 Pro, 18 Max, 18 Ultra, and 18 AI 2025.

The Titan 18 HX 2026 runs on Intel's Core Ultra 9 275HX, a 24-core, 24-thread chip with a 5.4 GHz boost clock and 36 MB of L3 cache, paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. The RTX 5070 Ti runs at its full 140 W TGP with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory and support for DLSS 4.5. MSI's Overboost mode raises combined power delivery to 225 W across the CPU and GPU.

Memory is where the cuts are most noticeable. The laptop ships with just 16 GB of single-channel DDR5, a configuration that will bottleneck the laptop in memory-sensitive workloads and is most likely a byproduct of the ongoing RAM price crisis. Storage fares better, with a 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD included.

The 18-inch panel runs at QHD+ resolution (2,560 x 1,600) with a 240 Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. Brightness tops out at 500 nits, noticeably dimmer than the Mini LED panels with peak brightness of nearly 1,000 nits found on pricier Titan 18 models like the Titan 18 Max.

MSI lists the chassis as measuring 404 x 308 x 32 mm and weighing 3.6 kg. The 90 Wh battery is paired with an included 400 W power adapter, and the laptop also supports 140 W PD 3.1 charging over USB-C.

Connectivity remains largely uncompromised. The laptop includes dual Thunderbolt 5 ports with DisplayPort and PD 3.1 charging support, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader, RJ45 Ethernet, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Wi-Fi 7 is on board, along with a 1080p webcam with a physical privacy shutter and an IR sensor for Windows Hello.

MSI has listed the Titan 18 HX 2026 on JD for CNY 18,699 in China, roughly $2,800/€2,400. MSI has not confirmed pricing or availability for markets outside China.
