HP launches 16-inch laptop globally with up to 192 GB RAM and new Intel Arrow Lake HX Plus processors

HP has quietly updated one of its 16-inch workstation laptops with Intel's Arrow Lake HX 'Plus' processors. Specifically, it has launched an updated ZBook Fury G1i 16 globally, over 18 months after it announced the device with processors like the Core Ultra 7 255HX (curr. $2,679 on Amazon). Incidentally, we reviewed its larger 18-inch alternative in November 2025.
To recap, the ZBook Fury G1i 16 contains four SODIMM slots for up to 128 GB EEC and 192 GB non-ECC memory. Moreover, the 16-inch laptop features four SSD slots and a 99 Wh battery, the latter of which contributes to its 2.43 kg starting weight. On top of that, HP includes Thunderbolt 5 ports and a 1200p IPS display with 400 nits peak brightness and an anti-glare coating.
The ZBook Fury G1i 16 should eventually be available with up to the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, another 24-core processor with 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores. According to our benchmarks, the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus should give the ZBook Fury G1i 16 around 10% higher CPU performance compared to the older Core Ultra 9 285HX.
For the time being, we cannot find any SKUs with the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, though. Instead, HP is limiting its updated ZBook Fury G1i 16 to the lesser Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus. As a result, the new ZBook Fury G1i 16 is actually less powerful than older Core Ultra 9 275HX and Core Ultra 9 285HX-powered options.
New ZBook Fury G1i 16 pricing starts at $7,374 with 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage and an Nvidia RTX Pro 1000 Blackwell laptop GPU (8 GB). Alternatively, the 16-inch workstation can be configured with the RTX Pro 2000 (8 GB) and RTX Pro 3000 (12 GB) for $7,679 and $8,634, respectively.
