S-GAME has officially confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero, its dark wuxia action RPG, launches worldwide on October 29, 2026 for PS5 and PC. The kungfupunk title ships with native DLSS 4.5 support, ray-traced reflections, and shadows.

Developer S-GAME has confirmed that its dark wuxia action RPG, Phantom Blade Zero, will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC on October 29, 2026. The confirmation follows an official announcement trailer and preorder details published across the PlayStation Store and Steam.

Built in Unreal Engine 5, Phantom Blade Zero was originally slated for a September 9, 2026 launch before S-GAME pushed the date back by 50 days for additional polish. Preorders opened on August 11 alongside an 11-minute story trailer, and S-GAME has confirmed a dedicated PlayStation State of Play focused on the game for August 17, offering close to 20 minutes of new gameplay footage ahead of launch. The PC version will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store, while console players get a PS5 release; no Xbox or Nintendo Switch version has been announced.

Unreal Engine 5 combat and PC technical features

S-GAME has also detailed the game's PC-specific technical features. Phantom Blade Zero will ship with native support for Nvidia DLSS 4.5, including super resolution and multi-frame generation. The game also implements ray-traced reflections, shadows, and caustics to enhance its dark fantasy environments.

The game's swordplay draws on traditional Chinese martial arts choreography, and Hong Kong action star Donnie Yen has served as a creative consultant on the combat system since 2023, alongside motion capture work for a key character. S-GAME has also confirmed four adjustable difficulty options, along with quality-of-life features such as retaining boss progress after a defeat.

Dark wuxia narrative and kungfupunk setting

Set in a dark fantasy world S-GAME calls "kungfupunk," Phantom Blade Zero follows Soul, an elite assassin serving a secretive organization called the Order. Soul is framed for the murder of the Order's patriarch and gravely wounded during the manhunt that follows. A mystic healer saves his life, but the cure lasts only 66 days, leaving Soul to uncover the conspiracy behind his framing before time runs out.

Rather than a traditional open world, the campaign is built around semi-open, handcrafted areas. S-GAME has confirmed the game will include more than 30 primary weapons and over 20 secondary Phantom Edge weapons, letting players adapt their combat style across boss fights and larger enemy encounters.
