GTA 6: Fans can relax – popular RDR2 feature is reportedly returning

With the Extended Look, Rockstar provided a fairly extensive glimpse at what fans can expect from Grand Theft Auto VI (available for pre-order on Amazon) – including shootouts, robberies, police chases and various leisure activities. One aspect, however, has yet to be shown in much detail: the depiction of violence. Fans have been concerned that GTA 6 could do away with the extensive gore system already seen in Red Dead Redemption 2. Spanish content creator ElRubius, who was apparently among the influencers invited by Rockstar to try out GTA 6, is now giving the community reason to breathe a sigh of relief.
According to ElRubius, who discussed the topic during a stream, GTA 6 will indeed feature an extensive gore system. He also revealed another rather macabre detail: Corpses can apparently be transported in car trunks. This could be particularly interesting in connection with the revamped wanted system, potentially giving players new ways to dispose of incriminating evidence after committing a crime. These and other details were summarized in a recent Reddit thread.
While Rockstar has yet to officially confirm any of this, fans consider ElRubius' claims credible since he had the opportunity to play GTA 6 himself. The Reddit community is accordingly relieved. For some, however, the news does not come entirely out of nowhere. As Reddit user u/Okinawa_Gaijin points out, the Extended Look may already have included a hint at the gore system. During an elevator explosion (24:10 mark), body parts briefly appear to fly through the air. The user is not entirely certain, however: Given how dark the scene is, it could simply be a particularly intense blood effect.
