Nvidia and AOC unveil world’s first G-Sync Pulsar 5K monitor with 144 Hz refresh rate

Gaming monitor brand AOC has unveiled, in partnership with Nvidia, the world’s 5K G-Sync Pulsar monitor. AOC Agon AGP327KG is not the first G-Sync Pulsar monitor on the market, but is the first to feature the technology with a 5K resolution. The monitor was unveiled at Gamescom, but details are scarce.

As per Nvidia, the AGP327KG features a 31.5-inch panel with 5,120x2,880 resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It has not been listed on the AOC website yet, so details are limited. It has an angular design for the stand that supports pivot adjustment, RGB lighting at the back, an extendable headphone hanger on the right side, and a healthy selection of I/O. There are two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, a USB Type-C port, a USB-B upstream, and three USB Type-A ports.

G-Sync Pulsar is the next evolution of VRR. It promises a stutter-free experience for superior motion clarity compared to G-Sync. Along with Pulsar, the Agon AGP327KG also features G-SYNC Ambient Adaptive Technology that uses a built-in light sensor to automatically adjust color temperature and brightness.

There is no release date or pricing information for the Agon AGP327KG yet, but AOC is expected to share those details in the coming days.
