Teclast launches affordable 16-inch 144Hz portable monitor with slim design

Teclast has launched a new high-refresh-rate portable monitor with an introductory price under $100. The panel isn't anything fancy, but it brings good overall specs for the money.

Specifically, the company has launched the new V16H at a discounted price of $79.99. Its retail price, in comparison, is $129.99, which still makes it a relatively affordable portable monitor.

The portable monitor comes with a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. It's not a high-end panel, with a rated brightness of 280 nits, but the good part is that it's a high-refresh-rate screen.

To be precise, the display has a 144Hz refresh rate, and with AdaptiveSync support, it should offer a smooth and responsive gaming experience. Teclast further notes that the V16H has HDR10 support, 8-bit color depth, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Again, these aren't fancy specs that something like the Asus ZenScreen 16-inch OLED brings to the table, but they are good enough for the price.

Connectivity-wise, the portable monitor has two USB-C ports, and one of them is a power-only port. There's support for USB-PD, and the reverse power output is said to max out at 65W.

Alongside the USB-C ports, there's a mini HDMI, but an external power supply needs to be connected when the latter port is being used. The thin and light design is another highlight of the Teclast V16H, with the company claiming it weighs 660 grams and is as thin as 9.5mm.

There's a stepless adjustable stand, and the metal body makes it look sleek. Other highlights include an audio port, a dual-speaker setup, and physical buttons for quick settings.
