Lenovo launches new Legion magnetic keyboard with 8,000mAh battery, 8K polling rate, and all-aluminum design

The Lenovo Legion R7 RT75 is a new 75% magnetic keyboard that has been released in China. Aimed at the high-end gaming market, the new keyboard combines an 8,000 Hz polling rate and advanced magnetic features with a distinctive, premium design.

The whole keyboard is made from a lightweight aluminum alloy, with a 6-degree elevation for added ergonomics. Lenovo has also given the chassis sculpted side panels with geometric cutouts that expose the RGB lighting zones along the sides, a design reminiscent of the GravaStar Mercury K1 keyboard (curr: $129.95 at Amazon).

Under the hood, the Legion R7 RT75 features a gasket mount with five layers of sound dampening and a carbon fiber positioning plate. The PCB is hot-swappable and includes fully transparent 27–45 gf Aurora magnetic switches as well as lubricated stabilizers. Buyers can choose from a Cloud Silver colorway with both translucent and metallic dye-sublimated keycaps or Storm Gray with translucent keycaps. Both colorways come with south-facing RGB backlighting.

That said, the Legion R7 RT75 supports an 8,000 Hz polling rate as well as competitive magnetic features like rapid trigger with 0.01 mm precision, adjustable actuation (0.1 to 3.4 mm), SOCD, and DKS. Other features include a 1.4-inch TFT display, a massive 8,000mAh battery, and compatibility with Lenovo Aurora RGB. For connectivity, the Legion R7 RT75 supports 2.4G wireless, USB-C wired, and Bluetooth, though the latter only has a 125Hz polling rate.

The Lenovo Legion R7 RT75 is now available in China for 1,299 yuan (~US$192), alongside a new lightweight 59g gaming mouse. Global pricing and availability details remain under wraps.
