New Lenovo desktop with up to 256GB RAM and dual RTX 5060 Ti 16G GPUs heads for release in the US

Lenovo unveiled the new ThinkCentre X at CES 2026 as a high-end desktop PC alongside the ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition, which has since started rolling out globally. Since then, the 34-liter desktop has launched in the UK, Australia, Malaysia, and India, and it now appears to be heading to the US.

The ThinkCentre X has now appeared on Lenovo's US website. While it is still marked as "Coming Soon," the product page reveals the configuration options that will be available to US buyers. To recap, the ThinkCentre X was originally slated to launch with up to an RTX 5090. However, it looks like US buyers will instead have to choose between a single RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or dual RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GPUs.

On the CPU side, Lenovo lists the Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus as the top option, which is odd since Intel permanently discontinued the chip. However, buyers will still have several other high-end processors to choose from, including the 24-core Core Ultra 9 285 vPro and the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus (vPro). Buyers can pair the processor with up to 256GB of DDR5-6400 CUDIMM memory or 128GB of DDR5-5600 UDIMM memory.

That said, the ThinkCentre X certainly won't come cheap, especially if you plan to max out the memory. For example, the high-end PC starts at £2,530 (~$3,370) in the UK, but a fully spec'd configuration with a Core Ultra 9 285 vPro, 256GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, a 1200W PSU, and a single RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GPU costs a whopping £10,480 (~$13,959). Unfortunately, US pricing is still under wraps for now, but interested buyers can check the Lenovo website for more information or sign up for availability notifications.
