Lenovo releases new compact and lightweight laptop internationally with over 24 hours battery life and 120 Hz display
Lenovo has finally the smallest in its new IdeaPad Slim 5 range. To recap, the IdeaPad Slim 5 13IWC11 debuted in mid-May. However, this was only true on Lenovo's PSREF website rather than on any retailer websites.
Now, Lenovo has addressed this by releasing the laptop in Australia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Currently, Lenovo has not listed the IdeaPad Slim 5 13IWC11 on its European or North American websites, unlike its larger 15-inch counterpart. Setting that aside, the IdeaPad Slim 5 13IWC11 combines Intel's Wildcat Lake platform with a 54.7 Wh battery that is said to last up to 24.7 hours when playing local videos at 1080p and 150 nits.
By default, the IdeaPad Slim 5 13IWC11 ships with a 13.3-inch IPS display that outputs at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness and 100% sRGB colour space coverage. Alternatively, an optional 120 Hz panel is available, which jumps to a 2,560 x 1,600-pixel native resolution while retaining the same peak brightness and colour accuracy.
Moreover, the laptop can be configured with up to Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and a 1 TB M.2 2242 SSD. Lenovo includes an M.2 2280 slot though, for expanding storage further. The IdeaPad Slim 5 13IWC11 starts at AUD 2,229, HKD 9,850, MYR 5,401, SGD 1,681 (~$1,302) with a Core 5 320 processor. In that sense, the laptop is closer to the MacBook Air than the MacBook Neo (curr. $699 on Amazon), despite its comparatively weak processor. Although a more powerful Core 7 350 can be configured, the IdeaPad Slim 5 13IWC11 tops out at 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM.
