Lenovo's lightweight IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra arrives in the US with Intel Lunar Lake and an OLED screen

Lenovo has finally brought the IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra to the US. Announced at MWC 2026 in March, the lightweight laptop packs Intel Lunar Lake processors with powerful Arc graphics in a chassis that's lighter than Apple's 13-inch MacBook Air M5 (Notebookcheck review). It arrives shortly after launching in international markets, including Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

As we covered during its launch, the IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra comes in 14-inch LCD and OLED screen variants. The OLED model is lighter, coming in at 11.9 mm (0.47 inches) at its thinnest point and 2.51 lbs, while the LCD version checks in at 12.9 mm (0.51 inches) and 2.65 lbs. Either way, it's still lighter than the M5 MacBook Air (2.7 lbs). Despite the compact chassis, Lenovo still makes room for two SSD slots and a 65 Wh battery rated for up to 20 hours of use.

In the US, pricing starts at $899.99 for a configuration with Intel's Core Ultra 5 226V processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, and a 256 GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. At that price, buyers get a 14-inch touchscreen IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 100% sRGB coverage, 500 nits of brightness, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Lenovo also lets buyers swap it for either a non-touch 120 Hz IPS panel with 400 nits or a 60 Hz non-touch OLED display with 300 nits and 100% DCI-P3 at no extra cost.

Buyers can also upgrade to the Core Ultra 7 256V for an extra $100, with storage options going up to 1TB. Based on our benchmarks, the higher-end chip delivers around 6% better CPU performance and roughly 25% faster graphics thanks to its Arc 140V integrated GPU. Elsewhere, the IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra comes equipped with Wi-Fi 7, a backlit keyboard, a 1080p webcam, and three USB-C ports. Sadly, it does not include USB-A or HDMI ports.
