MSI's 40th anniversary laptop launches for $7,000 with free gifts, including Batman game
Taiwanese PC giant, Micro-Star International a.k.a. MSI, announced a special version of is Titan 18 HX laptop at Computex in June. Officially called the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic, the laptop was announced in celebration of MSI's 40th anniversary, but that announcement didn't include a price tag.
MSI has now released the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic, and it is available to buy now for a whopping $6,999.99. The special edition laptop features a dragon-inspired design, which MSI says is etched into the metal and finished with an anodization process that embeds the colors directly into the metal.
With respect to specs, the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic has an 18-inch MiniLED display with a 3840 × 2400 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the IPS display is VESA DisplayHDR 1000-certified. Running Windows 11 Pro, it is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7 memory, and 96GB of DDR5 RAM (2x 48GB). It also has a 2TB NVMe SSD Gen5x4 and a 2TB NVMe Gen4x4 SSD.
MSI's anniversary laptop features a mechanical-per key RGB keyboard, a haptic RGB touchpad, and an IR Full HD webcam with a privacy shutter, HDR, and 3D noise reduction. There's a 99.9Whr battery under the magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis, and for ports, it packs 2x Thunderbolt 5 ports, 1x HDMI 2.1 port, 3x USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, 1x Ethernet port, and an SD Express card reader. It also has Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7. There are four 2W speakers and two 2W woofers for audio, along with a microphone-headphone combo jack.
For $6999.99, buyers will get the Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Draco Epic which ships in a special box that includes a limited edition coin, a gaming mouse, and a mousepad. MSI also includes a free game code for Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. The laptop is available to buy now directly from MSI's website. It is also available on Amazon.de for €7,799.
