Sony reveals 9 games leaving PlayStation Plus in August 2026

The Game Catalog is one of the best things about PlayStation Plus, which gives Extra and Premium members access to hundreds of games at no additional cost. Sony also adds a new lineup of games to the catalog every month, so there is always something new for members to download and play. However, at the same time, Sony also removes some older titles every month, and we now have a full list of games that will be removed in August 2026.
Games leaving PS Plus in August 2026
According to Sony, a total of nine games will be leaving the PS Plus Game Catalog next month. The list includes Dead Island 2, Earth Defense Force 6, Unicron Overload, and more. We don’t know if more games will join the list before the month ends. But so far, the following titles will leave the service in August 2026:
- Dead Island 2
- Harold Halibut
- Space Crew: Legendary Edition
- Earth Defense Force 6
- Roki
- Unicorn Overload
- Onee Chanbara Origin
- Bomber Crew
- Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
All of the above-mentioned titles will be removed from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on August 18. This means you have a little over three weeks left to play them. Once they are removed, you will no longer be able to access them through the catalog, as you’ll have to purchase them separately.
It is, however, important to keep in mind that while a big lineup of games is being removed next month, Sony will also add a decent collection of new titles around the same time. In other words, there will be something new for you to play.
