Sony announces several new games coming to PlayStation Plus

Sony recently hosted its latest State of Play event, giving players a closer look at several already announced games and what is coming next to PlayStation. The showcase featured new trailers, gameplay reveals, updates, and more. And for PlayStation Plus members, Sony announced a handful of new games that will be joining the service in the coming months. 

New games announced for PlayStation Plus

The main highlight is Mycopunk, which publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed will launch as a day-one title on PlayStation Plus in October. The co-op action FPS originally entered Early Access on PC through Steam in July 2025, and its full release will also bring the game to PlayStation 5. 

Sony also announced three new games coming to the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog later this year. These titles will be available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, who get access to the service's collection of classic games.

The first addition is Mega Man X: Command Mission, which originally launched in 2004. Set in the 23rd century, the game takes the Mega Man X series in a different direction with turn-based RPG combat and a story centered around X and his allies.

The second game is Dino Crisis 2, which was released by Capcom in 2000. The sequel builds on the original's survival-horror formula while putting a stronger focus on action. Players take on dinosaurs and other threats as they work through its dangerous environments.

Finally, Ratchet & Clank is also coming to the Classics Catalog. Originally released in 2002, the third-person action game follows Ratchet, who meets a small robot named Clank on his home planet. Players can use a wide range of weapons and gadgets while exploring different locations, fighting enemies, and taking part in various mini-games.
