Razer reveals new headphone stand with pressure sensitivity and 12-zone RGB

Razer has revealed its latest premium desk accessory - the Base Station V3 Chroma. At its core, the product is simply a headphone stand. But this time around, Razer has gone ahead and added a bunch of features which make the product quite appealing.

The Base Station V3 headphone stand sports a pressure sensitive surface, which can detect when a headphone is lifted or put back. Users can also program their V3 with the Synapse software to launch certain apps, switch around audio and mic routing, and even change RGB profiles based on whether or not a headphone is docked.

Moreover, the product also functions as a rather modest USB hub, sporting dual USB 3.1 Type-A ports. The base features an anti-slip pad, and the Base Station V3 connects with PCs with the help of the included 1.5-meter USB-C cable.

Needless to say, being a product aimed squarely at gamers, the V3 headphone stand features RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors and plenty of effects. 

However, it is worth mentioning that the RGB is rather tastefully done, and as mentioned earlier, can be customized to change profiles automatically when a headphone is lifted or mounted.

The Razer Base Station V3 weighs in at just under 0.7 lbs, and measures in at 27 cm or roughly 10.7 inches tall. The diameter of the base is said to be 15 cm, or roughly 6 inches. 

The product is already available for purchase on Razer's official US store, priced at just under $80.
