Razer unveils three-headed snake as limited-edition keycap

Razer has transformed its logo, which depicts a three-headed snake, into a three-dimensional keycap that, according to the manufacturer, was developed exclusively for "hardcore Razer fans." The keycap is cast from synthetic resin and hand-painted, which is said to make it exceptionally detailed.
From the eyes of the three snakes to the mouths and the scales, whose patterns on the back and belly are modeled after real snakes, the keycap is certainly true to detail. Strict quality control is in place to ensure that keycaps with minor defects are not shipped. The keycap is compatible with all gaming keyboards that use MX switches, meaning not only Razer keyboards but also many third-party keyboards.
While the key can still be pressed even with this keycap, the snake heads are probably not the most ergonomic choice for a keyboard. For this reason, Razer also features the key in its own marketing materials as a replacement for F12, one of the function keys that is generally used only rarely. Since the keycap is made of solid synthetic resin, the RGB lighting of a gaming keyboard does not shine through the snake.
Pricing and availability
The Razer Artisan Keycap in the Triple-Headed Snake Edition will be available for order starting August 22 for $89.99 in Razer’s online store. The keycap will be available for a limited time only in a strictly limited quantity.
