The Sweep 20 is an e-bike suitable for everyday use
With a stylish design, solid components, and a competitive price tag, the new Sweep 20 is an e-bike tailored for urban commuting and powered by a Bosch motor.

Scott has introduced two new e-bikes: the Sweep 10 and the Sweep 20. This article focuses on the Sweep 20, which is available with both a standard diamond frame and a low-step frame. While currently only listed on Scott's German website, the brand also maintains a strong presence in markets like the United States. Classified by the manufacturer as an "Electric Urban Bike," the Sweep 20 is equally capable of handling light cross-country rides along paved and gravel paths. Its Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tires ensure decent traction on unpaved surfaces, though aggressive off-road trails remain off-limits.

Power comes from a Bosch motor—specifically, the manufacturer’s new rear-hub motor rather than a traditional mid-drive system. Delivering up to 45 Nm of torque, it is paired with a removable 360 Wh PowerTube battery. While many dedicated city e-bikes forego front suspension, Scott equips the Sweep 20 with an SR Suntour NEX-E25-DS Coil fork, offering 75 mm of travel. The e-bike weighs 24.6 kg (54.23 lbs).

Drivetrain duties are handled by a 9-speed Shimano Cues derailleur system, helping optimize efficiency and range. For daily utility, the Sweep 20 comes fully equipped with a rear rack, fenders, a kickstand, and integrated lighting for safe night riding. On the manufacturer's website, the Sweep 20 is listed at a price of €2,499.
