Less than a week ahead of its expected official release, the Logitech MX Master 4 surfaced online through a teaser video. Afterward, thanks to a Netherlands-based Reddit user - u/Vachan1990 - a complete hands-on photo set is available for the highly anticipated MX Master 3 successor.
The initial appearance of the MX Master 4 was limited to one single image shared on the r/Logitech subreddit. u/Vachan1990 received the mouse ahead of schedule. After contacting the original poster, a full collection of in-hand photos of the mouse was shared.
Images of the base show the model name and certification marks clearly (including CE and UKCA), along with the "Easy-Switch" button for toggling between devices. The sensor location, skates, and USB-C charging port placement are still pretty familiar. The MX Master 4 carries over some established design choices from prior MX Master generations.
The ergonomics are also clearly visible in side and top views. The thumb rest is finished with a textured surface with circular grip patterns. The thumb area is equipped with multiple side buttons and a secondary scroll wheel. The color scheme is matte black with metallic accenting on the scroll wheels and buttons. The photos also confirm the inclusion of the latest Logitech Bolt USB receiver (curr. $13.95 on Amazon), shown separately along with the mouse.
Unfortunately, no retail packaging shots were provided, nor any early impressions regarding software or haptic feedback. As of this writing, only single units have arrived to early buyers in Europe; no confirmation is available for North America stock. The user in question ordered the mouse from bol.com. While the Logitech MX Master 4 is not yet officially listed for sale by major retailers, we can expect the company to make an official announcement on September 30 as per past leaks.
