Xiaomi has just replaced the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro with three new flagship smartphones. As we have covered separately, Xiaomi has replaced the Xiaomi 15 with the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 15 Pro with the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Pro serves as Xiaomi's alternative to Pro-branded compact flagships like the iPhone 17 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro.
For the time being, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether any of its new flagships will be available globally. Typically, the company only offers its smallest model alongside an Ultra model in the spring, as was the case earlier this year with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the Xiaomi 15 (curr. $890 on Amazon). As a result, it is unclear whether the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max's innovative secondary displays will ever be officially available outside Xiaomi's home market.
Nonetheless, importers are already on hand for those who are willing to work with Chinese-focused software. With that being said, the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max all ship with English language support and Google Mobile Services (GMS) pre-installed. Thus, all three should work outside China. However, we would suggest checking whether the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max supports the right 4G and 5G for your respective countries.
Currently, the Xiaomi 17 starts at $799 on Giztop with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Pro costs $899 with the same memory configuration. By contrast, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max costs $999 with 12 GB of RAM but 512 GB of storage.
