Logitech has just refreshed the MX series with the MX Master 4 (curr. $119 on Amazon). Incidentally, the company has shown off a transparent version of its new wireless mouse that it is not currently selling. At the same time, the company released the MX Master 3S Bluetooth Edition in more markets.
Seemingly, Logitech is not done with MX refreshes just yet, though. Instead, intrepid Redditors have discovered Logitech preparing to refresh its MX Mechanical keyboards. For context, the company introduced the MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini over three years ago. Still sold globally, the MX Mechanical series debuted simultaneously alongside the original MX Master 3S.
While that has not occurred this release cycle, Logitech has certified two new wireless keyboards with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US. As u/ComprehensiveMap8972 notes, the type of certification indicates that Logitech has only made minor hardware revisions from the MX Mechanical keyboards it already sells.
Thus, do not expect wholesale changes from the MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini. With that being said, a Class II Permissive Change would allow Logitech to visually alter its MX Mechanical keyboards, whether that be with revised keycaps, colour options and potentially quieter switches too. Unfortunately, the timing of these FCC certifications does not provide any hints about when Logitech plans to release its MX Mechanical keyboards.
