MSI has introduced a special edition of its Forge GK600 TKL wireless mechanical keyboard. Offered in three variants, the new model sports a 1.06-inch display, hot-swappable linear switches, and unique keycap sets, including topographic options.

MSI has launched the Forge GK600 TKL Special Edition mechanical keyboard. Building on the Forge GK600 TKL Wireless (curr: $69.99 on Amazon with 30% off) introduced at CES earlier this year, the new model will be offered in Topo Blue and Topo White variants with topographic keycaps, as well as a Mars Edition with a bold and futuristic space-themed design.

Of the three new versions, the Mars variant is the most eye-catching with space-themed keycaps that MSI says are inspired by Martian dunes and starry skies. Each keycap also has a transparent design at the bottom, allowing the RGB lighting to shine through for a bolder look than conventional keyboards. By contrast, the Topo Blue and Topo White editions use side-printed keycaps with shine-through contour patterns to achieve a unique lighting effect.

MSI Forge GK600 TKL Wireless Special Edition key features

Like the original, the Special Edition brings a compact 83-key layout with 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C modes. It’s hot-swappable with linear mechanical switches and dye-sublimated PBT keycaps, which have now been updated in the new models. It also has a gasket-mount design with multi-layer dampening, which is said to reduce noise and improve acoustics.

Another big highlight is the built-in mini display, similar to what we saw on the Pulsar eS HE 70. It isn’t customizable, but it can show quick status such as battery level, RGB profiles, connectivity mode, and more. All models also pack a 4,000 mAh battery, which can last up to 20 days of use according to MSI. For the most part, the new Special Edition is similar to the original, with the main difference being the redesigned keycap sets.

MSI has not revealed pricing details yet, but since the original Forge GK600 TKL launched at $80, we expect the Special Edition to be priced in a similar range when it hits the market later this month.
