The Alto Keys K98M keyboard offers an almost full-size layout with a number pad, function keys and full-fledged arrow keys. Therefore, the keyboard is not particularly compact, but the Alto Keys K98M offer a versatile feature set. This includes PBT keycaps, which have translucent legends so the white LED backlight can shine through.
Users can swap both the keycaps and the linear "Marble" switches, and Logitech says all Cherry MX-compatible switches will fit here. Logitech offers keycaps in white, blue and black. The keyboard case further has a transparent top half and a bottom half that matches the selected keycap color.
The mechanical keyboard has a built-in battery that can last up to 12 months if the backlight is turned off. It can be connected to a Windows PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android device via USB, the Logi Bolt USB receiver or Bluetooth. The keyboard can be paired with up to three devices at the same time, and there’s a button to easily switch between them.
Price and availability
Logitech currently sells the Alto Keys K98M keyboard exclusively in the US for $119 in the colors white, black or blue. Details on a launch in other regions are still pending. More information about the features can be found on Logitech’s website.
