Logitech has finally released the successor to the MX Master 3S. Arriving over three years after the most recent MX Master, the MX Master 4 makes quite a few visual and hardware changes from its predecessors. Arguably, the most significant of these is the inclusion of a small motor that provides adjustable haptic feedback when scrolling, selecting or navigating in Windows or macOS.
Additionally, the MX Master 4 is said to contain switches that deliver 90% quieter mouse clicks than those found in the MX Master 3. Moreover, the new wireless mouse's Darkfield high-precision sensor supports between 200 and 8,000 DPI with 50 DPI increment adjustments. On top of that, the MX Master 4 should be capable of scrolling up to 1,000 lines per minute.
Also, Logitech has added an Actions Ring button that sits within the MX Master 4's thumb rest, as well as a third configurable side button. Apparently, the rechargeable 650 mAh battery should last up to 70 days between charges when connecting the MX Master 4 via Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 or 2.4 GHz using a Logi Bolt receiver. A new antenna design is said to improve connectivity stability two-fold, too.
The MX Master 4 starts at $119.99 in Pale Grey and Graphite finishes or Space Black and White Silver if you opt for the MX Master 4 for Mac. Alternatively, the MX Master 4 for Business can only be picked up in Graphite. Also priced at $119.99, the for Business variant adds a second year of warranty for US customers.
