Best Buy is currently selling the HP OmniBook X Flip 16 convertible for just $699.99, marking a $400 discount from its list price. It features a 16-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 and 400 nits of peak brightness, although the company is advertising a rather disappointing 62.5% coverage of the sRGB color space.
Under the hood, there's an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor featuring four P-cores and four LPE-cores as well as Arc 140V integrated graphics based on the Xe2-LPG architecture. It's joined by 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD (Samsung 4 TB SSD curr. $239.99 on Amazon).
Connectivity includes a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port (40 Gbps, Power Delivery, DisplayPort 2.1), another 10 Gbps USB-C (Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4a), a couple of 10 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. There's also Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
The 2-in-1's aluminum body measures 14.02 × 9.67 × 0.61 inches (356 × 246 × 15.5 mm) and tips the scales at 4.15 lb (1.88 kg) while packing a 68 Wh battery that can charge at up to 65 W.
Be sure to also check out our review of the HP OmniBook X Flip 16. While the model we reviewed is equipped with double the amount of RAM and a 2.8K OLED, all other specs should be identical. Its high-end build quality and long battery life left a good impression, with the main drawbacks being the lack of an integrated SD card reader and the shallow key travel.
