The Beoplay H100 remains one of the most expensive over-ear wireless headphones even over a year after their launch. Originally priced at €1,499 in the Eurozone, £1,299 in the UK and $1,549 in the US, the Beoplay H100 were significantly more expensive than the Beoplay H95 that it replaced (curr. $1,068 on Amazon).
Fast forward to 2025, and Bang & Olufsen has raised the price of the Beoplay H100 across Europe, the UK and the US to €1,700, £1,450 and $2,200, respectively. As far as we can tell, this price rise occurred in early June, having risen to $1,850 a month earlier in the US. If those price hikes were not galling enough, Bang & Olufsen has started removing the promise of adding wireless hi-res Bluetooth codec support.
Spotted on Reddit, Bang & Olufsen no longer claims that it will be adding LDAC or any high-resolution Bluetooth audio codecs via a software update. With Qualcomm aptX Adaptive support not offered to match the older Beoplay H95, that leaves the Beoplay H100 with just AAC and SBC Bluetooth codecs available to it. As a result, it is no longer clear when or if Bang & Olufsen plans to bring LDAC support at a later date.
Likewise, the company updated its Product Sheet to omit the promise of adding 3-device multipoint connectivity via a software update this year, too. Thus, we would not be surprised if Bang & Olufsen quietly dropped this commitment soon as well without clarifying further.
