GameSir has refreshed the G7 Pro with a new special edition model, just like 8BitDo and the Ultimate 2 before it. However, the GameSir G7 Pro Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Edition adds full wireless connectivity support for Microsoft Xbox consoles, unlike the regular G7 Pro.

8BitDo has just refreshed its Ultimate 2 wireless controller with an Honkai: Star Rail Evernight limited edition release that has now reached the UK. In response, GameSir has updated its G7 Pro controller with a special edition model of its own.

For context, the G7 Pro arrived in June sporting TMR joysticks with an option to switch between Hall effect and Micro Switch triggers. Moreover, GameSir boasted that the G7 Pro was Xbox-certified. However, the original G7 Pro could only connect to an Xbox console in wired mode.

At the time, GameSir indicated that it planned to launch a version with wireless Xbox connectivity before the end of the year. Surprisingly, the company has decided to package this first within the G7 Pro Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Edition rather than through a dedicated wireless Xbox release.

Regardless, one could swap the faceplate and d-pad on the G7 Pro Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Edition for other options if their style is not to your tastes. Based on the comparison chart below, wireless Xbox connectivity is the only hardware difference from the regular G7 Pro (curr. $79.99 on Amazon). Nonetheless, GameSir has decided to charge more $20 for the Wuchang Fallen Feathers Edition, which can be ordered today on its website for $99.99.
