Ulefone will soon launch two more tablets, the Ulefone RugKing Pad 2 Pro and the Ulefone RugKing Pad Pro, which meet IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H standards, meaning they should be waterproof, dustproof and have some protection against drops. Both models are compatible with uSmart accessories such as endoscopes and microscopes. An unusual feature is that charging is possible with a charging station, leaving the USB port free, where uSmart accessories can also be used.
Both tablets are equipped with the Unisoc T7250, a mobile modem is integrated, and two SIM cards can be used if the internal storage is not expanded with a microSD memory card. An eSIM card can also be used. However, the Unisoc T7250 does not support 5G connectivity, which may be a limitation depending on requirements. The GNSS module allows for accurate positioning via GPS, Glonass and Galileo.
The RugKing Pad 2 Pro measures 10.1-inches, while the RugKing Pad Pro has a screen diagonal of 8.68 inches, making it not only slightly thinner but also significantly more compact overall. The RugKing Pad 2 Pro comes with 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, while the Pad Pro only comes with 128 GB. Both tablets have 8 GB of RAM. The smaller Pad Pro has a battery capacity of 7,100 mAh and the larger model 10,200 mAh, both of which can only be charged at 18 watts. According to the manufacturer, the launch will take place on January 26, with the RugKing Pad Pro starting at well under $250 and the RugKing Pad 2 Pro just under $300.
