Nintendo's new hardware for 2026 comes in the form of new Joy-Con colors. The company has revealed Light Purple and Light Green Joy-Con 2 controllers for the Switch 2, set to arrive on February 12 alongside Mario Tennis Fever.
Like the original blue and red Switch 2 Joy-Cons, the new set is largely finished in black, with light purple and light green accents on the joystick rings and side rails. The colors are barely visible when attached, but the pastel accents on the joysticks still create a subtle contrast against the darker shell while keeping the overall design restrained. The new shades also appear softer and more muted than the original Joy-Cons.
Outside of the updated color options, these remain standard Joy-Con 2 controllers (curr: $99 at Amazon.com). Nintendo has not announced any hardware changes, meaning they come with the same motion controls, HD Rumble 2 support, and the new C Button for quick access to GameChat, along with mouse controls in compatible games. Each set includes the left and right Joy-Con 2 controllers, as well as a pair of Joy-Con 2 straps, making them ready for local multiplayer out of the box.
The Light Purple and Light Green Joy-Con 2 controllers are available for pre-order now for $99.99 through Nintendo’s online store, but they are not shipping until February 12.
