Asus has introduced a handful of new products at CES 2026, and the NUC 16 Pro is among them. This mini PC stands as a successor to the NUC 14 Pro, and it features an upgraded spec sheet. One of the big highlights is that it can be equipped with up to a Core Ultra X9 series 3 processor, which also brings a capable Intel Panther Lake iGPU.
More specifically, as Asus notes, the mini PC can offer up to the Intel Arc B390 iGPU, which based on leaks can offer around 16% better performance than the Radeon 890M, the top-end iGPU from AMD's Strix Point lineup. Asus notes that the CPU can be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and two SSDs, but the press release does not divulge further specifics.
Press material does describe the port configuration of the mini PC, and the Asus NUC 16 Pro features the following ports:
- 2x Thunderbolt 4 (120 Gbps 4-feet Silkland cable curr. $24.99 on Amazon)
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
- 2x 2.5G Ethernet LAN
- 2x HDMI or DisplayPort
Other than that, there hasn't been a significant change in terms of the design. That is, the NUC 16 Pro has a similar overall outlook to the NUC 14 Pro. Asus has yet to share when this Intel Panther Lake mini PC will be available to purchase, and pricing details are yet to be officially confirmed as well. However, it's worth noting that the last-gen 14 Pro had a starting launch price of $394.
