Leak reveals Asus NUC Pro 16 mini PC with 16-core CPU and powerful Arc B390 iGPU might cost over $1,500

Just recently, we reported that one of the variants of the Asus NUC 16 Pro mini PC has gone on sale, powered by the Core Ultra 7 356H CPU. However, we do know that the mini PC will be available with higher-end SKUs from Panther Lake family, equipped with the monstrous Arc B390 iGPU.
One such system, equipped with the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor paired with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and 1 TB storage has recently leaked, priced at a whopping 10,999 CNY or roughly $1,580 in China. For context, the barebones variant of the NUC 16 Pro with the Core Ultra 7 356H processor is priced at $999 on Newegg, as we have reported previously.

Considering the skyrocketing DDR5 RAM and storage prices of late, the leaked pricing for the Core Ultra X7-powered NUC 16 Pro appears somewhat less shocking. Of course, international pricing may vary, but it would be safe to expect it to fall in the same ballpark. For comparison, the AMD Strix Point-powered Minisfrum AI X1 Pro mini PC with 32 GB RAM and 1 TB storage is currently retailing for around $1,180 on Amazon.
As benchmarks have indicated, the Core Ultra X7 358H processor should be in the same class as an Apple M5 and AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 in multi-core performance, while the integrated Arc B390 GPU should be as powerful as an RTX 2060 Mobile discrete GPU. In fact, compared to the Radeon 890M iGPU found in many mini PCs, the Arc B390 is almost twice as fast in many scenarios.
