Machenike's mini-PC with a flip-up status display finally received a global release earlier this week. Equipped with 64 GB of RAM, the Machenike GTS rivals recent high-end mini-PCs like the GMKtec EVO-T1 thanks to its Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor (curr. $1,469.99 on Amazon). Now, Aoostar has refreshed its equivalent mini-PC.
For context, Aoostar updated the G-Flip less than a year ago with Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 7 155H options. Before that, the G-Flip was available exclusively with AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU from its Strix Point generation. Now the company has refreshed the G-Flip with the Ryzen 7 H 255, an 8-core Hawk Point APU that has its roots in the older Ryzen 7 8745H.
According to our benchmarks, this new refresh sits between older Core Ultra 7 155H and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 variants in terms of CPU performance. Conversely, the new Ryzen 7 H 255 variant falls slightly behind the Core Ultra 7 155H when gaming. OCuLink and USB4 ports are on hand for external graphics expansion, though.
Moreover, the new Aoostar G-Flip features Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Also, the mini-PC supports up to 8 TB of M.2 2280 storage and 128 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. Currently, the updated G-Flip can be picked up from Aoostar for $339 as a barebones unit. Alternatively, the company charges $349.95 on Amazon and £570, €499 and €520 across the UK, Germany and Italy, respectively. Please see Aoostar's website for more information.
