GMK is now shipping its NucBox K15 mini PC with the Core Ultra 5 125U starting at $360. The system shares the same chassis design as the NucBox K12 and it is notable for being relatively large for a mini PC with a Core U-series CPU.
When compared to alternatives like the NucBox M5, the K15 is 1.32x larger and 75 percent heavier while sporting a similar U-series processor. Fortunately, much of that extra volume doesn't go to waste as the K15 includes features not found on many smaller options like integrated OcuLink, support for up to three internal SSDs, removable RAM, and noticeably quieter runtimes as the cooling solution need not be as dense. Thus, there are benefits for not always choosing the smallest, thinnest, or lightest option available in this particular scenario.
Nonetheless, GMK could potentially go even further with the idea by integrating the PSU onto the unit itself. As large as the K15 may be, it still relies on an unsightly power brick which may not be so easy to hide depending on your desk space or office setup. Many Beelink models ship with integrated PSUs already including the GTI15 Ultra which is roughly the same size as the GMK K15.
