Deal | This superb 360 Hz OLED gaming monitor from Samsung Odyssey is now $334 off for a limited time

The Samsung Odyssey G6 (G60SD) is a premium OLED gaming monitor which has received promising reviews from critics. The capable monitor is now available with a major discount on the Amazon-owned Woot! online store, dropping its price down to just $565.
Odyssy G6: Beautiful OLED monitor with sizeable discount
With a resolution of 2560 x 1440, the 27-inch Odyssey G6 boasts a pixel density of around 108 PPI. While that may not be close to 4K or higher resolutions, it is still more than sufficient for gaming and content consumption. The extremely fast 360 Hz refresh rate will definitely please gamers, and the monitor's OLED panel packs all the known benefits of OLEDs, as well as a few drawbacks.
For starters, the Odyssey G6 sports true blacks, courtesy of pixel-level dimming. This allows for a nearly infinite contrast ratio, which is great for HDR. However, like many other OLEDs, brightness performance is simply not sufficient for brightly lit environments, as pointed out by RTINGS' in-depth review. The G6 can hit around 256 nits of full-screen brightness, and manages over 1,000 nits in a 2% window.
Color gamut and accuracy is outstanding
That said, the panel's color reproduction is simply excellent, allowing for truly vivid visuals. Viewing angles are also as good, and the same goes for the panel's reflection handling. Owing to the triangular sub pixel layout, however, text clarity leaves a lot to be desired, especially for those who are particularly allergic to fringing.
Moreover, like many other QD-OLEDs, blacks tend to look purple-ish due to ambient light, which is yet another pain point of its type. The Odyssey G6 gaming does boast extremely low input lag and near-instant response times, making it a treat for fast-paced gaming.
At its current discounted price, the Samsung Odyssey G6 OLED gaming monitor clearly packs a lot of punch. Considering that prospective buyers are willing to deal with the panel's relatively poor brightness and text clarity issues, the monitor is a treat for gaming in nearly every other way.
Those who want an ever higher refresh rate, will need to shell out extra for something like the LG Ultragear 27GX790A 480 Hz monitor (currently $677 on Amazon)
