Xiaomi has quietly released its latest Mini LED-backed gaming monitor for the first time. To recap, Xiaomi added the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 to its global website in early December. While its predecessor mirrored an equivalent Redmi monitor, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 differs in crucial areas from the Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U that arrived seven months earlier.
Compared to the Monitor G Pro 27i, the Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 departs with a much higher peak brightness value. Specifically, Xiaomi's 2026 model is said to output at up to 2,000 nits thanks to its 1,152 local dimming zones rather than 1,000 nits like its 2024 predecessor. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not shared Average Picture Level (APL) values. Instead, it merely states that it achieved 2,000 nits during testing under the following conditions:
typical value measured with 10%-30% HDR white window, screen brightness set to 100, and dynamic backlight set to high.
Nonetheless, this peak brightness value exceeds the Tandem OLED-backed LG UltraGear OLED 27GX700A that delivers up to 1,500 nits at 1.5% APL (curr. $649.99 on Amazon). Likewise, the 27-inch IPS monitor maintains a 1440p resolution, a 180 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GtG response times. Also, colour space coverage is unchanged at 99% AdobeRGB and 99% DCI-P3, but with ∆E<1 colour accuracy instead of ∆E<2 for the original Xiaomi Mini Led Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i.
For context, Xiaomi initially charged CNY 2,699 (~$388) for the Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U in China. By contrast, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 has reached Australia for AUD 699 (~$488). An initial sale has dropped the monitor's price to AU$499 (~$348), though. At this stage, it is unclear when the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026 will reach other markets.
