Gigabyte has silently launched the GO27Q24G gaming monitor, a 27-inch QHD model with a 240 Hz refresh rate. It shares many of its specs with the similarly named GO27Q24 that debuted late last year. However, instead of a matte QD-OLED panel, the new GO27Q24G uses a 'RealBlack Glossy' MLA+ WOLED display, which should offer better contrast, deeper blacks, and richer colors.
Aside from the glossy screen coating, the Gigabyte GO27Q24G also introduces HyperNits, Gigabyte's enhanced HDR mode designed to push higher brightness levels. Natively, the monitor is rated at 275 nits of full-screen brightness (APL 100%) and up to 1,300 nits in HDR (APL 1.5%). However, in the HDR Peak 1300 mode, users can enable HyperNits to boost brightness by up to 30% without clipping highlights. Two options are available: HyperNits High for a 30% boost and HyperNits Medium, which offers a more modest 20% increase for dark rooms.
That said, the monitor has a 2560 x 1440 resolution with a native 240 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms response time. There is no dual-mode support here, but it does offer full G-Sync and FreeSync support. The display is certified under the DisplayHDR True Black 400 tier and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. For connectivity, it offers a similar setup to the GO27Q24, with two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port with 15 W charging. It also comes with a fully adjustable stand.
The GO27Q24G is currently listed on the Gigabyte website, but pricing and availability details will come later.
