Xiaomi has updated its Redmi monitor series with a new 24.5-inch option. To recap, the company introduced new Redmi G24 and Redmi G27 monitors under a year ago. Now, it has filled the gap with the Redmi G25, which mirrors Xiaomi's older Redmi gaming monitors in certain areas.
For instance, the Redmi G25 matches the Redmi G27 with a 200 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, Xiaomi's new gaming monitor outputs natively at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Being an IPS panel, the display also delivers 1 ms GtG response times and 178° viewing angles. Moreover, the Redmi G25 boasts 400 nits peak brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
The 8-bit monitor is rather lacking when it comes to ports, with just DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and 3.5 mm jack connections on its rear side. Pricing reflects this budget port selection though, with only CNY 609 (~$88) charged in China. While there is no official word on international availability yet, Xiaomi has offered Redmi gaming monitors globally in the past, such as the Xiaomi G27i and its smaller Xiaomi G24i sibling (curr. $129.99 on Amazon).
