Open-air cases have a loyal fanbase, and for good reason. Apart from being very easy to service and upgrade, they also allow gamers and enthusiasts to show off their multi-thousand dollar setups without making it too obvious. The Geeek Exo 1 is one such affordable microATX open-air case, that is now available for pre-order.
The impressively compact open-air microATX case sports a baseplate, and an acrylic-based motherboard tray which will house all the brains of the system. At just around 40 x 18.5 x 31.5 cm, the Exo 1 tips the scales at around 2 kg or 4.41 pounds. As can be expected form an open-air system, there are no limitations to CPU cooler height in horizontal GPU mode. Optimally, Geeek claims support for quad-slot GPUs that are up to 335 mm long and 80 mm wide.
Even longer GPUs are technically possible, but they might end up obstructing the power switch, as stated by Geeek. Dual 120 mm fans can be fitted, and up to 240 mm AIOs are supported. MicroATX and MiniITX motherboards are supported as well.
When GPUs are mounted vertically, CPU cooler height is limited to 50 or 70 mm depending on the exact position. Maximum GPU length stays the same - 335 mm - with the width restrictions waived. Fan and AIO support remains identical, and the same goes for PSU support - ATX, SFX-L, and SFX (Cooler Master V850 SFX currently $158) units are supported.
Pricing and availability
Pre-orders for the Geeek Exo 1 are open, with pricing set at just $69.90. An optional PCIe 4.0 x16 riser cable can be purchased separately, listed at $20. The mATX open-air case will be available in black and white colorways, both with an estimated shipping date of 12th February 2026.
