Those who have been holding out for a new flagship from Nothing are advised to brace for an unpleasant piece of news - there will be no Nothing Phone (4) in 2026. As revealed by founder/CEO Carl Pei in a recent YouTube video, the company is gearing up for new launches, but the Phone (4) isn't one of them.
Nothing in 2026: Price hikes, no new flagship
The bad news doesn't end there - rather unsurprisingly, Carl also revealed that prices are likely to increase next year, courtesy of the unprecedented price surges circling the DRAM industry.
Moreover, the Nothing Phone (3) (currently $799 on Amazon) will remain the brand's flagship offering in 2026, which is rather disappointing considering that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4-powered handset is already quite slow compared to the 8 Elite-powered competition.
That said, the Phone (3) is undoubtedly a solid overall package, excelling in other categories while featuring a design language that is unique to say the least, as pointed out in our detailed review of the smartphone.
Nothing will, however, bring out a new Nothing Phone (4a) in 2026, which will be a budget-oriented offering, as the name suggests. Leaked specs reveal a 5,080 mAh battery and 50-watt fast charging, although other details are shrouded in mystery for the time being. Carl did mention that the Phone (4a) will be "closer to the flagship experience" than ever before, which is interesting.
Carl also mentioned "doubling down" on the headphones category, citing the positive reception won by the Headphone (1). Whether this means more hardware launches this year or simple refreshes, remains to be seen. The full video has been linked below, for readers who'd like to know more.
