Nothing teases glyph matrix for Phone (4a) Pro and fans are disappointed

Nothing is gearing up for the launch of its Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro tomorrow, March 5. The Phone (4a) has been revealed completely but the Phone (4a) Pro remains a mystery. The company has now teased the Pro model, or at least a small part of it ahead of the launch, but fans are not exactly happy with the new implementation.
The teaser shows an all-black screen with an LED matrix, similar to the Nothing Phone (3) (buy on Amazon). What’s different is that the matrix or at least the number of micro-LED’s appears to be much smaller. The Phone (3) has a 489 micro-LED array while the Phone (4a) Pro is said to come with a smaller 137 micro-LED arrangement. Fans are questioning this decision and wondering if everything that could be done with the Phone (3)’s LED matrix would be possible with the Phone (4a) Pro or not.
X user adi has shared an official looking animation of the Phone (4a) Pro’s glyph matrix and it seems to work the same as the Phone (3), but with fewer LEDs. As for the overall size, it is unclear if it’s the same or smaller.
With the Nothing Phone (4a), the company went with a glyph bar rather than a round array. The functionality will be much more limited than the Phone (4a) Pro. So, at least with the glyph matrix, the Pro model can stand above the base model, if not with specifications alone. While the company has not shared exact details about the two phones, a report from late last month stated that both the upcoming phones will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 5,400 mAh battery, and a 50 MP telephoto camera. The Pro model is said to come in some different color options than the black, white, blue, and pink of the Phone (4a). Of course, not all of the colors will be unique.
As mentioned earlier, the phones will be made official on March 5 so only a few hours left for official information on the Phone (4a) Pro’s glyph matrix and its capabilities.
