The Seiko 5 Sports x Poorboy collaboration watch has appeared in Thailand. This limited edition model has been designed in collaboration with the Bangkok-based artist, as part of the wider ‘In My Soul’ concept. Details of the release have been shared by publications like Q-P Magazine.
Seiko’s 5 Sports x Poorboy watch has a bold turquoise dial featuring the artist’s monkey character, inspired by Yeti and Bigfoot. There is a striking black and white bone pattern on the timepiece’s bezel, with silver colored stainless steel casing measuring 42.5 x 13.4 x 46 mm (~ 1.67 x 0.53 x 1.81 inches). The watch comes with interchangeable straps: a silver tone metal bracelet, matching the casing, and a nato (nylon) band in the same shade as the dial’s background.
The 5 Sports watch is powered by a 4R36 calibre, an automatic movement with manual winding and a 41 hour power reserve. The dial features three analog hands and an inset display showing the day of the month (number) and the day of the week. Other features include a stop second hand function and a unidirectional rotating bezel.
In Thailand, the Seiko 5 Sports x Poorboy SRPM17K watch will be released on February 5th. It will retail for THB 16,800 (~$540) and will be sold at the Seiko Boutique Thailand online store. Only 1,000 units of this limited edition timepiece will be available. There has been no indication of a global release at the time of writing.
