New Grand Seiko watch with high-frequency movement launches

Grand Seiko has unveiled a new Heritage Collection watch: the SBGH376. Also known as the Sakura-wakaba timepiece, this mechanical watch has a gold, green and brown design, and is said to be inspired by young leaves on a cherry tree.
The SBGH376 has an 18k yellow gold case, based on the 62GS’s design, with a see-through screw case back. The textured light green dial is said to change color in the light, and this is decorated with gold accents. This model has three analog hands, baton indexes and a simple date display in the 3 o’clock position. Plus, it comes with a brown crocodile leather strap.
Grand Seiko’s SBGH376 is powered by the 9S85 Caliber, a high-frequency (36,000 vph) automatic movement with manual winding and a 55-hour power reserve. The mean daily rate is listed as between +5 and -3 seconds. Other features of this watch include 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance, 10 bar water resistance and a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating.
The Grand Seiko Heritage Collection Mechanical Hi-Beat 36000 Sakura-wakaba SBGH376 watch will be released in the US in July 2026 with a $32,800 RRP. This model is also set for launch in Europe in the same month, retailing for €33,500.
