New Garmin smartwatch beta update rolling out to mid-range models

Garmin is pushing a new update to the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct Crossover, and Instinct E smartwatches. Beta version 14.09 is the latest update in the 14.xx testing cycle, which began in March 2026, with users gaining new features like a Stocks Glance and Mobility app so far.
The new beta version 14.09 release is relatively minor, bringing two bug fixes to users of the Instinct 3 and related smartwatches. For the Instinct 3 AMOLED, Garmin has added the Arm Circles workout animation, which was previously missing. Only for the Instinct 3 Solar and Instinct E smartwatches is a bug fix linked to the new Stocks Glance. A problem which could cause the stock price value to be only partially displayed has been resolved.
In a recent post in the Garmin forum, a representative for the company confirmed that beta version 14.09 had been pushed to around 20% of Instinct 3 smartwatch users. It is being shared over the air (OTA), meaning it should download automatically when you are connected to the Garmin Connect app. It is unclear when the rollout of beta version 14.09 for the Instinct 3 smartwatch (45mm, Solar curr $399.99 at Amazon) will be complete.
