Garmin brings new data sharing feature to wearable in update

The Garmin Descent G2 watch-style dive computer is receiving a new stable update. The system software 25.21 release has landed several weeks after the company rolled out software version 25.14, which tackled a range of bugs experienced by users of the wearable.
In a post in the Garmin forum, a representative for the brand confirmed that the new version 25.21 update adds a new feature to the Descent G2. It is called Dive Setup Sharing, and allows users to quickly copy key information like their gas list and conservatism between two Garmin computers. The devices must be within 3 m (~10 ft) of each other during the transfer, with the tool found under Dive Setup > Setup Sharing (Garmin how-to page).
System software version 25.21 is also said to bring improvements to the Descent G2’s Gradient Factor 99% (GF99) data. In the release notes, Garmin indicates that the behaviour of this metric on the surface has been enhanced, though further details have not been provided.
All users of the Garmin Descent watch-style dive computer (curr. $699.99 at Amazon) can now download system software 25.21. To do this, connect your device to either the Garmin Dive app, the Garmin Connect app or the Garmin Express software.
