Garmin wearables get data sharing feature in new update

The Garmin Descent X30, a watch-style dive computer, is receiving a new update. The system software 3.09 is rolling out to users of the wearable, bringing a new data-sharing feature alongside other improvements.
Garmin’s Descent X30 gains the new Dive Setup Sharing feature in system software 3.09. This tool allows users to share details such as their gas list and conservatism with another of the brand’s computers. This can be achieved when the two gadgets are within 3 m (~10 ft) of each other, with the setting found under Dive Setup > Setup Sharing.
With this stable update, the Descent X30 also gets an improvement for surface measurements of the Gradient Factor 99% (GF99). Plus, the company has optimized the dive computer’s dynamic depth data screen, with an enhanced view of the safety stop information.
According to a Garmin Forum post from a representative for the company, system software 3.09 has been pushed to at least 50% of users of the Descent X30 watch-style dive computer (curr. $749.99 at Amazon). It is unclear when the rollout of this update will be complete.
