The Garmin System Software 25.21 is rolling out to two of the brand’s wearables. This release brings several new diving-related features, alongside other improvements and bug fixes.

Garmin has released a new update, System Software 25.21, for the Descent Mk3and Descent Mk3i watch-style dive computers. This is the second stable release for the wearable in 2026, following System Software 25.14, which tackled a range of bugs.

The Garmin Descent Mk3 and Mk3i smartwatches gain a new Dive Setup Sharing feature with the version 25.21 release. This allows users to copy information like their gas list and conservatism to another Garmin device. Both gadgets are also seeing an improvement in the Gradient Factor 99% (GF99) data shown when at the surface.

Only for the Mk3i comes support for Sidemount, notifying you when there is a pressure difference between two linked tanks. This dive computer also gets a new Redundant Time Remaining (RTR) data field, as well as enhanced connection stability for linked Descent S1 buoy accessories. Plus, the Mk3i is receiving a bug fix linked to an issue where the dive log could show incorrect final tank pressure values.

Garmin’s System Software 25.21 update is now available for all users of the Descent Mk3 and Descent Mk3i dive computers (curr. $1,399.99 at Amazon). You can install the update via the Garmin Dive app, the Garmin Connect app, or the Garmin Express software.
