Garmin fixes LiveTrack bug in new beta smartwatch update

The Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED, Fenix 8 Solar, Fenix 8 Pro, Enduro 3, Fenix E, Tactix 8 AMOLED and Tactix 8 Solar smartwatches are receiving a new beta update. The version 22.24 release arrived a few days after the beta version 22.23 update, which brought a new LiveTrack feature to users, allowing the location sharing tool to be automatically enabled on a per activity type basis.
With beta version 22.24, Garmin is fixing an issue linked to this new LiveTrack functionality. A problem where it was not starting automatically for multisports activities, specifically those which began with a pool swim, has been resolved. In this update, the company has also fixed a bug which prevented users from being able to accept an incoming call following an abnormal heart rate alert. Plus, problems with the phone call mute setting and the SOS countdown page have also been resolved.
Beta testers with a Garmin Fenix 8 or related smartwatch can now download the beta version 22.24 update. To do this, go to the Main Menu > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. It is worth noting that, as is typical for beta releases, the ECG feature and the Dive features are disabled. It remains to be seen when a stable version of the beta version 22.24 update will reach all users of the Fenix 8 (47mm AMOLED curr. $1,099.99 at Amazon).
