Xiaomi releasing new affordable smartwatch globally with NFC and AMOLED display

Xiaomi has delivered multiple new devices in China today. Now, it seems that the company is on the verge of releasing a new wearable outside its home market, too. Officially, Xiaomi has not mentioned anything about updating its wearable portfolio internationally.
However, multiple Hungarian retailers have now listed the Redmi Watch 6. For context, the Redmi Watch 6 debuted over six months ago in China. According to Bravo Phone, iPon, Smart Com, MySoft and others, the Redmi Watch 6 is set to reach Europe and beyond, priced at around HUF 41,000 (~$135).
Not only that, but the smartwatch will be available with NFC connectivity for tap-to-pay purposes, unlike its predecessor (curr. $139 on Amazon). Currently, Xiaomi has not indicated when the Redmi Watch 6 will be available internationally, let alone its NFC version. The fact that some of these retailers are already accepting pre-orders indicates that a full launch will be occurring soon.
Based on past performance, Xiaomi will likely tie the smartwatch's release to that of a wider global launch event. Please see our Redmi Watch 6 launch article for more details about Xiaomi's budget smartwatch.
