Oppo releases new luxury smartwatch with 1,000 nit AMOLED display

Oppo presented the Watch X3 globally yesterday. Priced at €379, the Watch X3 misses out on eSIM functionality and blood pressure monitoring outside China. Please see our launch article for more details about Oppo's latest Wear OS-powered smartwatch.
Additionally, Oppo has expanded its smartwatch portfolio with the smaller Watch X3 Mini. Like the OnePlus Watch 3 before it (curr. $249 on Amazon), the Watch X3 Mini retains much of the same hardware as its 47 mm sibling while dropping to a 43 mm case size. This year's Mini smartwatch returns with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display too, which continues to output at 466 x 466 pixels with 600 nits peak brightness and 1,000 nits outdoors.
Surprisingly, Oppo has stuck with the 354 mAh battery from last year's model as well. The same is true for Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset, which Oppo continues to complement with 2 GB of RAM. Consequently, the Watch X3 Mini is rated to last around 1.5 days with its always-on display enabled or for around 2.5 days with this feature disabled.
Setting that aside, the Watch X3 Mini also offers GPS, NFC and eSIM functionality, as well as skin temperature monitoring.
Oppo has priced the Watch X3 Mini at CNY 1,999 (~$292) in China and CNY 2,499 (~$366) for its luxurious gold variant. Although the company has teased global availability beforehand, it has not commented on when the Watch X3 Mini will be sold internationally. The Watch X2 Mini continues to be available outside China though, indicating that a global release will occur later this year.
