Xiaomi 17T: Global model debuts on Geekbench revealing chipset details

Last year's Xiaomi 15T series included the standard Xiaomi 15T and the Xiaomi 15T Pro. The company is rumored to launch the new-generation Xiaomi 17T series soon.
A smartphone has surfaced on Geekbench with model number "2602DPT53G." For reference, the same model number has previously cleared multiple regulatory certifications and is expected to belong to the standard Xiaomi 17T.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the Xiaomi 17T is powered by the Dimensity 8500, a mid-range chipset that has also been used in the Poco X8 Pro. The listing also indicates the device has 12GB of RAM and runs Android 16. The Xiaomi 17T recorded 1,017 points in single precision, 1,329 points in half precision, and 1,124 points in the quantized test on Geekbench AI.
Other specifications have not been revealed yet. However, rumors suggest it may feature a 6,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. For comparison, the Xiaomi 15T (curr. $559 on Amazon) has a 5,500mAh battery. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a Leica-tuned camera system, though rumors suggest no significant camera upgrades over its predecessor. In other news, the company has recently launched a new gaming-centric smartphone in China with the Dimensity 9500 chipset.
