Xiaomi 17 series and Pad 8 to launch in India next week

Following the global launch, Xiaomi India has now officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 series and Pad 8 tablet are all set to debut next week in India. Speaking more precisely, the latest generation devices are launching on March 11 in India. Xiaomi India’s post on X confirmed that the company is unveiling three devices, namely the Xiaomi 17, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Xiaomi Pad 8. 

As far as specs are concerned, both new Xiaomi smartphones are said to retain the same specs as the global variant. The Xiaomi 17 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, quad 50 MP cameras, a compact 6.3-inch OLED 120 Hz display, and a large 6,330 mAh battery with support for 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will ship with a large 6.9-inch 1-120 Hz OLED display, a 6,000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 50 MP primary, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle, a 50 MP front-facing, and a 200 MP telephoto camera. 

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Pad 8 will be launching with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, an 11.2-inch 144 Hz IPS display, and a 9,200 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging support. However, there’s no word on the availability of the Pad 8 Pro variant from Xiaomi. What we know is that all three devices will be available for purchase in India via Xiaomi India’s official store and Amazon.
